CKMD Army | Foster Care Support & Resource Guide

Can't Keep Me Down

Life may knock me down, but it Can't Keep Me Down.

I know what it feels like to be knocked down and what it takes to rise again. That's why I created the CKMD Army: to unite courageous champions across all 50 states and give people the tools they need to stand up for youth in foster care.

Together, we can make sure every youth in foster care have the support and opportunities they need to rise.

Be part of a nationwide movement for youth in foster care.

Who We Are

Our Mission

To connect, empower, and equip the foster care community by creating a nationwide resource guide that makes it simple for people to find ways to help locally. We believe every youth in foster care deserves hope, support, and opportunity — and that starts by uniting those who are already doing the work.

Welcome To CKMD Army

You've Seen How Tough the World Can Be.

But for youth in foster care, it can feel even tougher — isolating, uncertain, and full of obstacles.

Maybe you've thought:

“I want to support youth in foster care, but I don't know where to start.”

“I care… I just don't know who to trust or how to get involved.”

“I see the challenges, but can one person really make a difference?”

The Resource Guide Changes That.

The truth? It's not that you don't care — it's that no one's shown you where to start. The CKMD Army 50-State Foster Care Resource Guide connects you directly with vetted nonprofits, mentors, and organizations across the country so you can find trusted ways to help locally, right now.

In Progress

What We're Actively Doing Now

Serving as a board advisor for Route 21 (rte21.org) after a year mentoring its founder and two years on the board of directors.

Collaborating with Washington Initiative for Boys & Men (wibm.us) to support the creation of a state commission focused on boys and men in Washington.

Developing a 50-state Foster Resource Guide so people can easily find foster care organizations to donate to, volunteer with, support, and career options.

Operating Four Tiers Contracting, a company that hires and trains aged-out youth that were in foster care with a goal of mentoring them into business ownership.

Meet Baron Li

“Asian 50 Cent”

I'm Baron, born in Thailand, raised in Hawaii, and a survivor of what should have broken me.

Severe childhood abuse. Seventeen foster homes. Six group homes. And later, a murder-for-hire attempt where I was shot nine times and lived.

Through it all, I refused to stay down.

Today, I've turned that pain into purpose by creating the CKMD Army — a movement to give foster youth in foster care organizations a voice, a platform, and a nationwide network of support.

I don't just advocate. I build resilience, spark community, and fight for a future where no child slips through the cracks.

My story has been featured by People Magazine, Investigation Discovery, Max, Inside Edition, and top podcasts including True Crime With Kendall Rae, Crime Stories With Nancy Grace, and Unspeakable Podcast With Kelly Jennings.
