Program Overview

Who They Are

Founded over 70 years ago, Griffith Centers has grown into one of Colorado's most trusted providers of trauma-informed behavioral health and foster care services. With locations across the state — including Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and Pueblo — they serve thousands of children and families every year who are navigating some of life's most difficult challenges.

Griffith Centers believes that every child deserves safety, stability, and the chance to heal. Their integrated approach combines mental health treatment, foster family support, residential care, and community-based services — all designed to meet children and families exactly where they are and walk with them toward lasting healing.

How They Help

Foster Care Services

Griffith Centers recruits, trains, and supports foster families across Colorado with a trauma-informed approach. Their licensed foster care program provides placement support, ongoing training, and wraparound services — ensuring foster parents have everything they need to provide safe, healing environments for children in their care.

Mental Health & Behavioral Services

Outpatient and community-based mental health services for children and families dealing with trauma, behavioral challenges, and emotional difficulties. Griffith Centers' licensed clinicians provide individual therapy, family therapy, psychiatric services, and crisis intervention — all grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed practice.

Residential Treatment

For youth who need a higher level of care, Griffith Centers operates residential treatment programs that provide 24-hour therapeutic support in a structured, nurturing environment. Youth receive individualized treatment plans, education support, and skill-building to prepare them for successful transitions back to family and community life.

Community-Based Programs

School-based counseling, family preservation services, and community outreach programs bring Griffith Centers' expertise directly into the communities they serve. These programs reduce barriers to care, improve school outcomes, and strengthen families — keeping children safely at home whenever possible.
