Program Overview

Who They Are

Kingdom Care Orphan Care was built on one conviction: every child deserves a safe, permanent, and loving home — and the community around that child matters just as much as the home itself. Led by Executive Director Julius Karow, Kingdom Care exists to empty the foster care system by walking alongside the families who show up for kids.

Since launching, Kingdom Care has served over 800 families and 2,000+ children in the Houston area. They meet families right where they are — providing tangible resources like beds, clothing, diapers, and school supplies, while also building long-term relationships through mentorship, life skills, and community connection for youth aging out of care.

How They Help

Family Wraparound Support

Kingdom Care wraps around foster, adoptive, kinship, and biological families with a full circle of community support — including prayer, meals, groceries, house cleaning, lawn care, babysitting, transportation, car maintenance, money assistance, respite care, and attending court appointments with families.

Tangible Resource Provision

Meets the immediate physical needs of children entering or living in foster care — providing beds, clothing, diapers, school supplies, and other essential items so families can focus on connection and healing rather than scrambling for basics.

Youth Aging Out — Mentorship & Life Skills

For youth transitioning out of the foster care system, Kingdom Care provides mentorship, life skills training, and lasting relational connections — walking alongside young people as they navigate independence so they never have to face it alone.

#EmptyTheSystem Movement

Built around the belief that "you're either called to bring a child into your home or responsible to support those that do," the #EmptyTheSystem movement mobilizes the Houston community to show up for kids in foster care — whether by fostering, adopting, or wrapping around those who do.
