Who They Are
Monarch Family Services is a Houston-based nonprofit built around one core belief: that children thrive when families are strong. Founded to fill the critical gaps facing kinship, foster, and caregiving families, Monarch provides the concrete support that helps families stay together and children stay safe.
Through a combination of tangible resources, education programs, and therapeutic services, Monarch meets families at their point of need — whether that means dropping off supplies, walking alongside a kinship caregiver navigating the system for the first time, or connecting a foster family with the therapeutic support they need to stay the course. The children in their care don't just need a roof — they need stability, love, and a community that shows up.

Programs & Services
How They Help
Monarch walks alongside kinship caregivers, foster parents, and other caregiving families with practical support that helps them navigate the system and stay equipped to care for the children in their homes. No family should have to figure it out alone.
Monarch provides tangible, immediate resources to families in need — including toys, clothing, and shoes (new or gently used) — so caregivers can focus on the children rather than scrambling to meet basic material needs. Donated items go directly to Houston-area families.
Educational programs help foster, kinship, and caregiving families understand trauma, attachment, child development, and the foster care system — giving them the knowledge and tools to be the stable, informed caregivers their children need.
Monarch connects families with therapeutic support services designed to help children heal and families stay together. Trauma-informed care is woven throughout their approach — because children in the system carry real wounds that require real healing.
