Who They Are
The Sanctuary Foster Care Services is a licensed child placement agency with a mission to achieve permanent sanctuary and healing homes for children and families from hard places. Sanctuary walks alongside foster families and children to stop the multiple moves that so severely hurt children in care — providing stability through four core pillars: Therapy & In-Home Support, 24-Hr In-Person Crisis Intervention, Alternative Care (babysitting, overnight, and respite providers), and Community-Based Support (meeting tangible needs, meal trains, family events, and more).
Operating throughout the Houston area, Sanctuary walks alongside foster families from licensing through every step of the journey — providing ongoing support, training, and community so that families are never left to navigate the hard moments alone. Their approach is relational at its core: they don't just place children, they build lasting connections between families, children, and community.

Programs & Services
Our Four Pillars
Sanctuary provides therapy and in-home support to foster children and families, addressing trauma directly where families live so children can begin healing without adding another disruptive transition to their story.
When a placement is at risk of disruption, Sanctuary's team responds with 24-hour, in-person crisis intervention — stepping in during the hardest moments to help stop the multiple moves that so severely hurt children in care.
Babysitting, overnight care, and respite providers give foster parents the breathing room they need to sustain the marathon of caregiving — without children having to leave their home environment to get it.
From meeting tangible needs and organizing meal trains to hosting family events, Sanctuary mobilizes the surrounding community to wrap around foster families — because no family should have to carry this alone.
